Saturday Night Horror

Finally I managed to pay a visit to Tersha! We decided to rent to DVDs, one was Sweeney Todd, which I had looked forward to. However, I was more than midly disappointed. It was horror, the singing was awful, the songs were boring on top of that and apart from one funny moment that got me laughing (when it turned out that he killed his own wife) there was really nothing to it. (Okay, I kind of thought Johnny looked cute in the get up, but that was all)

The second shock was me reading parts of the first twilight novel - wow putting a couple of boring cliches in a book, add vampires and you got a bestseller. Not really encouraging, even my rough plans for my first vampire novel contained less bland characters and back then I was fifteen. But I guess, my feeling that my stories would anyway be too complicated to get published are very substanciated.

Oh well, maybe one of these day I give it a try. Maybe the fantasy story which is basically making fun of cliches and thus there are some cliche characters. Then again the idea is to set these two "wonderful heroes" up and then because they are so typcial and simple minded heroes, they fail miserably and the villains win, because they are not your typcial villains nice enough to just drop dead at the end.

At least the second movie was a bit better, although a bit gruesome, I'm not to fond of movies with serial killers who cut off body parts other than hair ...
