Productive start into the weekend
So, after much debate and stress, I got the Mercedes of my parents for Friday evening till noon on Saturday. Tersha needed shelves for her new apartment and now that I got more time I of course wanted to do it with her.
After we were on the road things went down rather smoothely. IKEA is open till 10 p.m. and we started out shortly before 8 p.m. giving us ample time. The online information said Tersha's favourite colour choice was not available, but in fact it was. Three silver Billy shelves and a Benno in silver for CDs.
Those suckers are heavy! Her stairs are so narrow that I convinced her to drop it in the 1st floor and then open the packages there and carry the stuff in parts up. (The first floor is the stairs and a narrow space that leads to the trash cans as the rest of it belongs to a shop, the main flat is on the second and third floor).
As there are no neighbours to speak of, we assembled the shelves right afterwards. Burned a lot of calories this way :D Afterwards Tersha went to bed and I started sorting some of her books. There are more boxes with them upstairs which I did not feel like carrying down. It was really fun.
For myself I bought three little mice, some glasses for spices and more carpets for my bunnies. I used the glasses as an opportunity to clean out one of my kitchen cupboards and realised I got lots of space in that one. I guess I really do not need that big of a kitchen.
Tomorrow I shall clean up more. Right now I want to chill a bit on the PC and then I will continue with reading stuff for the university and making reading lists for my modules. After all I want to get a good head start, so I can visit Berlin next month on one of my long weekends!
